This past weekend, I had the privilege of volunteering with the Junior League of Sarasota for the Safe Children's Coalition Holiday Party at Fruitville Grove Farm Market. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with laughter, joy, and the spirit of giving back to our community.
The event was designed to create a magical day for children and families, and it certainly delivered. From face painting and games to an adorable petting zoo featuring the farm’s animals, there were activities for everyone to enjoy. Seeing the kids’ faces light up with excitement as they interacted with the animals or showed off their face-paint designs was truly heartwarming.
The Safe Children Coalition, Inc., the organization behind this incredible event, plays such a vital role in our community. As a non-profit Community-Based Care provider, they offer essential services like education, prevention, diversion programs, and child welfare support, including adoption and foster care. Their mission to create a safe and nurturing environment for children inspires me, and I am so grateful to have been a small part of their work during this holiday season.
Giving back is one of my favorite ways to connect with the community and support meaningful causes. Events like this remind me of the importance of coming together to make a difference, especially during the holidays.
